Hello fellow singers and welcome to Learn how to sing.info. My name is Jonathan Bret and I am so glad that you have found my new singing website. For many years I have come across numerous amateur singers that have not a clue on how to sing properly. Either it was because they had no previous singing lessons or they were instructed how to sing wrong by some poor singing teachers. Either way, you have not found me by luck or chance but by destiny.
I too was an inexperienced singer like you not so long ago. I used to sing as a child for fun and was in all the school's chorus choirs and would perform at the annual talent show and at recitals. Yet little did I know was that I was far from being the singer that you listen to on the radio or on your favorite CD. Those were professionally trained singers who had made a career based on their outstanding singing voice. That's what I wanted to become but I had no idea where to start.
Once I hired my first personal singing lessons teacher, I realized how bad I really was as a singer. Sure I could hit some notes and hold a tune but I had to true singing technique. My breathing techniques were all wrong, my singing posture was incorrect, I would sing through my throat rather than my diaphramn, etc. I deligintely began training my singing voice with this singing teacher but within 2 weeks, he stopped teaching me because he was offered a job at some university in New York and was going to have to move out of state. For months I struggled trying to find a new singing teacher, frustrated because of how expensive they were and how impatient they were with a beginner adult such as myself.
It wasn't until I discovered some online how to sing software that my true singing skills began to develop. You see, I thought that I was born with a natural talent to sing. Yes I was a better singer than most kids in my class but as an adult I realized that what I was born with was nothing compared to what I needed to develop to become a professional singer. And though many will argue that you cannot learn how to sing and that singing is indeed a unique gift, I can now tell you from experience that that is a total myth and misconception. True professional singers are taught how to sing and even if you have never been able to sing a note in tune, you too can learn how to develop your singing voice and it all starts by training your ear to listen. Not to hear, but to listen.

Don't ever hold yourself back from your true dream of singing. I will tell you right now that nothing great in this world comes easy. It will take hard work for you to master your singing voice, but in the end, you will be an expert singer. Remember, while some may be born with a better singing ability than others, only those dedicated singers that practice their vocal exercises daily and are committed to constantly improve their singing voice will make it in the singing business.
